3tablespoonsmilk (can substitute with any non-dairy milk)
2tablespoonscreamy peanut butter
1tablespoonvegetable oil
11/4 teaspoonpure vanilla extract
optionalhandfulchocolate chips
Instructions
Start by taking a microwave-safe mug, ideally one that holds at least 12oz. In this mug, combine all the dry ingredients: the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Use a spoon to mix them thoroughly, ensuring there are no clumps and everything is well incorporated.
Next, pour in the wet ingredients: add the milk, peanut butter, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Use a fork or a small whisk to mix everything together until you achieve a smooth batter with no lumps. If you're feeling extra indulgent, fold in a handful of chocolate chips at this point.
Place the mug in the microwave and cook on high for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Keep an eye on it; the cake should rise and look set. If it still looks gooey in the center, return it to the microwave and check every 15 seconds until it's fully cooked.
Once done, remove the mug from the microwave and allow the cake to cool for about a minute before diving in. For a delightful finishing touch, top with a dollop of whipped cream, an extra spoonful of peanut butter, or a sprinkle of chopped nuts to elevate your treat.
Notes
For an extra touch of indulgence, add chocolate chips.
