Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, and minced ginger. If you like some heat, add the red pepper flakes. Season generously with salt and pepper. Mix using your hands or a spatula until all ingredients are well incorporated.
Using your hands, shape the mixture into small meatballs, approximately 1 inch in diameter. Arrange them on the prepared baking sheet with a little space between each meatball to allow for even cooking.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and have a beautiful golden-brown color on the outside.
While the meatballs are baking, prepare the delicious honey garlic glaze. In a small saucepan, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Place the saucepan over medium heat, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze slightly thickens.
Once the meatballs are out of the oven, transfer them to a large bowl. Drizzle your prepared honey garlic glaze over the meatballs and toss gently to ensure they are evenly coated in the sticky goodness.
Serve the glazed meatballs hot, garnished with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and a handful of chopped green onions for an added crunch and fresh flavor.
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute ground beef with ground turkey.
