Instructions
In a small mixing bowl, combine the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, grated ginger, and rice vinegar. Whisk the mixture thoroughly until all ingredients are well blended.
Generously season both sides of the salmon fillets with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. Add a small splash of olive oil to the skillet and allow it to heat for about one minute until it shimmers.
Carefully place the salmon fillets into the skillet, skin-side down. Cook for approximately 4-5 minutes until the skin becomes crispy and golden.
Gently flip the salmon fillets using a spatula. Once flipped, pour the prepared honey garlic mixture over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is covered.
Allow the salmon to cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, basting the salmon fillets with the sauce occasionally.
Remove the skillet from the heat and let the salmon rest for a couple of minutes.
To serve, plate the salmon fillets and generously sprinkle with the chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
For an elegant touch, serve alongside steamed rice and a side of sautéed vegetables.
